Michael was surprised to hear himself reply something to his brother, even more so that as an angel, these thoughts of rebellion should not even be crossing his mind.
"If the whole Creation goes against Him, I don't think there is so much He could do to stop us."
Then again, God always seemed to know everything. It wouldn't be so easy. He lowered his voice to barely more than a whisper.
"There has to be a plan to let God think He's in control and strike Him when He's expecting it the least."
I've fallen so deep....

Michael closed his eyes. Of course Lucifer was going to delect in his own fall. Again he felt a tinge of uncertainty in his heart.
He had commited the sin of lust.
But he had done so many times before.
But this time it had been with his own brother.
And he loved his brother...right?
Or did he hate him?
Michael growled, aggravated by the thoughts wirling in his mind. He rolled onto his stomach and turned his head away from Lucifer.

Lucifer looked at his brother with a cold smile, the behavior of Mikael was undertsanble, he wasn't weak, he was afraid of the sin he commited.

Michael glanced at his brother from the corner of his eye. He knew Lucifer would be glad to hear him say yes. Then again, he wasn't sure he felt ashamed of what he did. His mind was caught in a whirl of confusion, frustration, and a strong collage of mixed emotions.
His only answer was a careless shrug of his shoulders.
He remained silent for a long moment after, lost deep in his thoughts.
"Lucifer...?" he broke the silence. "How do you live with all the sins you've done?"

There was nothing for him that deserve his pity or could make him feel sorry. Nothing in this word had enough value for that.
It was the way Mikael thought when he looked at his older brother ? As if he was a Devil with hand soiled by blood and sin. The eyes of an angel, looking at his opposite side with disgust and shame. Perfect. If he succed in showing this image to his brother, everything had been like he wanted. But, even with the way Mikael was seing him, the archangel still love him ....
So it was not a perfect victory since he tried to be hated by the young angel.

Michael didn't have time to utter a reply to Lucifer's statement that he was overwhelmed by a sudden, strange sensation of somewhere between duty and homesickness.
He exhaled a gusty sigh.
"He's noticed my absence already," he announced. "and He's calling for me to return to His side."

He raised an eyebrow and looked at Mikael. In his voice, he could hear the hesitation and doubt in his brother. It was true that the call of God was a strong and unbearable sigh that force any angel to obey and was very dificult to don't listen at. Knowing how painfull it could be, he stayed motionless and wait.
You think that Mikael isn't enough strong resist tp Your Call ?
" He is quicker when it came the time to punish to one who betray him than to save to one who follows him .... " he said, looking at his brother, waiting to see what Mikael will do

Michael slipped out of bed, and then started to search for his clothes, in vain, since he had been taken out of them back in the prison.
"I really have to go..." he told Lucifer.

Lucifer sighed, he had hoped that Mikael will choose to stay by himself.
" Don't go, you know what will happen, and I know you don't want it. "
The fact that the little angel was naked wasn't enough to make Mikael change his mind, he knew that.
" God only want you to feel guilty. "

"I'm not ashamed," was all that Michael managed to reply. He peered into his brother's eyes, allowing him to read his soul, to see the wheels turning in his head.
"I better go where I can make myself useful."
No matter where he'd be, he was certain Lucifer knew which side he had chosen in this war.

Lucifer narrowed his eyes, looking at Mikael coldly. Truly, he had expected that the boy will be wiser than that. But, instead of choosing the right path, he was returning at God's feet, hoping that He will forgive his sin.

"You don't know me." Michael replied harshly. He felt a tinge of hurt that Lucifer had not known how to read his mind, but on second thought, it was better that way. If his own twin had been fooled, so would be God. Hopefully.

He stood up and walked near his brother, his body brushing his a little, tender smooth flesh against him. He stared at Mikael's eyes and something appeared in his mind. The truth that Mikael was hiding in him so deep that nobody could be able to read it. It was now clear and a pale smile was suddenly on his lips.
But I still doubt anyway that you could be able to betray your own God, boy
He leaned a little and caressed his lips with his own before whispering
" I know what you are planing to do "
His eyes became suddenly more wide, as if the ice frozen inside was melting a bit.
" Don't go against him if you feel that he know what you want. "
Deep in his heart, he remember the first years of their lives, when the two were the same, two brothers loving each other with no shame and no jealousy. The nights they spend together sleeping in each other's arms and the voice of Mikael telling him how he loved to be with him.
Memories passed by with the cold wind that was blowing in his heart. He blinked and took few steps backward.
He opened a portal behind the archangel.
