Alexiel descended from the towering roof of the apartment building. Her graceful glice was silent and elegant amongst the piles of brick and rubble. When her feet finally touched ground, she pressed her way between Katou and Kira. Lifting a hand, she plucked ash from Katou's shirt and turned to Kira, quickly brushing dust-laden hair from his face. And why not? Afterall, a weapon should be kept immaculate and she held great pride in her greatly coveted possesion. As soon as she had come to the two boys, she gathered her wings, held them to the center of her back, and moved to Setsuna.

Kira nodded and stepped back to accommodate his master's presence. He was glad that she was pleased enough with them, despite the destruction that lay around her. But that was Alexiel, after all, she made sacrifices for the greater good and hopefully wouldn't consider the surrounding area such a great sacrifice...
Would she tell Setsuna about their deceit? Kira wondered what his master had in mind.

Setsuna couldn't help but to be amazed as he looked upon the great angel. It was like looking into a mirror and seeing the female version of himself. She was a very beautiful creature. It confused him greatly to know that she was capable of death and destruction.
Making eye contact with her, he felt his knees grow a bit weak and took a step back. Unable to actually speak, he submitted a breath and shrank before her greatness.
Was she still unhappy with the damage he had done?

Katou's first reaction was the growl lightly as Alexiel pushed her way between himself and Kira, bittersweet reminder of the reasons why the two lovers would never be able to live their own tale. But he supressed it and instead only cringed slightly as she called him 'Nanatsusaya'.

"On your feet, Messiah. You've done noe wrong."
She gave him a small, knowing sort of smile but it quickly faded. Reaching to lift him by the shoulders, she felt him shudder under her touch.
"You have nothing to fear, Messiah. You are me and I am you."
Just as she had done with Kira and Katou, she also brushed Setsuna's hair free from his eyes. A respectful nod preceeded that.
"Setsuna, you needed to be reminded of your power. Awakened though you were, you needed a push into the right direction. Do not be angered by Nanatsusaya's actions, for they were ordered. Are you ready to fight or Assiah?"

Setsuna gave a slow, unsure nod. A part of him was ready to take on the world, however, there was still apprehension. He didn't want to unleash his powers on Assiah again. There was a nagging question in the back of his mind. 'What if you can't do this? You're only one person.'
That was pushed aside for the moment and he felt Alexiel searching his eyes for a sure answer. Little by little, he started to regain the confidence in himself as he looked at her. They were, afterall, the same person. Two beings from the same mold. Planting his feet into the ground, he found his confidence. He didn't even bother to ask Alexiel about who gave Kira the orders to destroy the stone or if she was upset that he had caused so much damage around him. It could have been worse anyway, had his earrings broken and left his powers unchecked.

"I will bring you to Anagura. I'm sure you may have noticed the change in the atmosphere, for the war has already started. Once I have finalized the status of battle, I will come to you again."
She cast an eye at the city, scanning over its skyline. People had already began to emerge from their hiding places.
"Lucifer will know nothing of your residence in Kurai's palace. That is where you will stay hidden until further notice. You will be tested, Messiah, but I know you are more than capable of bringing a stop to this."
She again lifted her hand and placed it upon his right cheek. In a way, she intended for the gesture to draw the fear from his heart. That was all she could have done for him anyway. He had his own strength to rely on and joining their two souls back together like she was planning to do would make him even stronger. Not forgetting that she was as much of a warrior as she was an angel, she withdrew her hand and stepped back. Setsuna was a child and a man at the same time. He needed nothing more than guidance.
"This is the next step that you must take. Have faith in yourself, for you won't be alone. That is, if your guardians want to go for the ride."
She turned her head just far enough to catch a minute glance at the two behind her, awaiting their acceptance or decline of their mission.

Katou exchanged a quick glance with Kira. It was useless to ask his lover if he was going or not. The part of him that was still Nanatsusaya always obeyed its master.
And wherever Kira went, Katou would too. Because it had always been that way. Because he wanted to spend as much time with Kira as it was possible, before their time here would end.
"Yeah yeah..."he replied quietly with an exhausted sigh and lazily draped an arm around Kira's shoulders. "Of course."

Kira glanced at Katou, knowing exactly how he felt and personally agreeing. Neither of them had much time left anyway, with or without the war. He wanted to spend the time he had with Katou -- definitely not wandering around after the boy who, although he was very fond of, was SUPPOSED to be the Messiah and more than capable of handling battle.
But he simply nodded. "Yeah, we're right with you, Set-chan."

Setsuna could see the lack of enthusiasm in the acceptance of thier mission. Even so, they didn't exactly have a say-so in the matter anyway. They all would have to bite the bullet and protect Assiah. Pushing his hair back from his eyes, he took a breath and grabbed for the stone around his neck. Sara was the first thing on his mind and he intended to get her back, come Hell or high water. In this case, it might be both.
